Gentlemen, I picked up this coat (Yves Saint Laurent) for myself yesterday...only four were made for North America.  I need a scarf for it.  The colors in the coat are a light cream, a beige, and a darker honey color.  You can't really see that in the picture.  If anyone feels they need a close-up I will put up a picture from home tomorrow.  Nothing at the YSL store worked (at least here in Chicago - the camel scarf was too matchy-matchy).  My SA at Hermes said I should get a honey colored scarf, but where.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

I agree with persona 2. I'd honestly be willing to help you out if you had written the thread differently, but it only seems like you wanted to prove that you spent a lot of money on an exclusive coat.

Anyway, go to any store in Italy. If you can afford a coat of which only FOUR were made for America, I'm sure you can afford a plane ticket, you cunt.

Well no, any scarf won't work...I tried 7 at Hermes and the SA vetoed them all.  And YSL on 57th would only have one or two of the coats depending on whether mine was taken from that store or the Beverly Hills store.  The coat is very oversized and only two were made in 48 and two in 50 for North America.  Four were also made for Europe.  Do your research, honey.

And secondly, since when were the overaged queeny Hermes SAs the authority of fashion? Don't be so silly.

Wouldn't it have been smarter to max out that last credit card for something within your means as opposed to that YSL coat? I'm sure Burlington Coat Factory is having some sort of sale this season. Someone having such a difficult time finding a simple scarf for such a simple coat doesn't deserve to step foot into any YSL or Hermes boutique. So before you go parading around in that coat this weekend thinking your such a fashionista, just remember that you will always be a styleless social-climbing peasant.

If I wanted to I could buy an entire YSL store, yet I happen to be a lot less needy to prove that I can do things with money/a lot more modest about my opportunities.

I've spent my life around those with money, and nobody makes me sicker than someone desperate to flaunt status symbols while trying to make others feel bad about themselves. In my eyes, and probably in those of others, you're absolute scum, and if you happen to have much better taste than us (as shown by our apparent envy) then you should have the capacity to match a fucking scarf with your beige coat you fucking moron, or did 'your' shopping assistant at YSL pick out the coat for you as well (if so, I wouldn't be shocked: I'm sure the thing isn't such a hot seller)?
