31.Březen 2005I apologize for teh absolute and complete selfnishness of this diary entry, but I can't help myself; that's just the way I am nowdays. Now to the business. If a tree falls in a forest and noone is there, does it make a noise? Does it fall at all if noone ever noticed its existance? Does it exist at all? To a human mind real is only what we are aware of. If there was a war on the opposite side of the world and we do not know about it, is it real? Is all that senseless violence, suffering and hatred real? or does it simply not exist? There are over 6 billion people on the planet, but how many are real to us? How many people are out there that we are willing to bet out necks that are real? And how many people are just a myth to us? All those famous athletes, actors, musicians and politicians we are so used to from seeing in TV. Unless we saw them; are they truly real to us? Are we real to people on the far side of the world? Are we nonexistent to the people we have never met? Do we need to be acknowledged by the others to exist?
